Issue/Introduction

This article addresses an issue where the Username field is unavailable in the Endpoint Connection Information after deploying a connector created with Connector XPress 2.0 to CA Identity Manager.

Environment

  • Product: CA Identity Manager
  • 14.5
  • Tool: Connector XPress 2.0
  • Authentication Method: OAuth

Cause

After creating and deploying a connector via Connector XPress 2.0, users observe that the Username field is missing or unavailable within the Endpoint Connection Information tab in the Identity Manager environment.

This behavior is caused by a malformed metadata definition file generated by Connector XPress 2.0 during the connector creation process.

Resolution

  1. Verify the connector deployment status in the Identity Manager environment.
  2. If the field is missing, open a case with support and apply hotfix DE593000-TF.zip.
  3. If the issue persists after applying the fix, please provide the following information to the support case:

      • Confirmed version of CA Identity Manager in use.
      • Connector XPress version.
      • Exported metadata file for the problematic connector.
