Issue/Introduction

Large IDMS buffers are loaded into the 64-bit memory cache.

How to encrypt or exclude 64-bit buffers containing sensitive data from SVC dumps.

Resolution

There is no encryption when an SVC dump is taken and there is no z/OS dump option to prevent the dumping of 64-bit memory.

Nothing can be done from IDMS but IBM has a feature called Data Privacy for Diagnostics (DPfD) which allows you to redact data in an SVC dump,
