Issue/Introduction

There is a requirement to change the current  ACF2 GSO TSO NOQLOGON setting to QLOGON.  Is there any impact to MAI if this is done?.  Are there any changes to MAI that need to be made in order to use QLOGON setting?

Environment

SOLVE:Access 5.0

Cause

QLOGON generates a separate screen for the password validation during TSO logon that disrupts the autologon process between Easinet and the TSO session, requiring the user to manually enter a password.

Resolution

The best option to facilitate a smooth logon process is to generate a logon script and implement that in the TSO session.

The 'Logon Script Generation Function' section of the SOLVE:Access User guide outlines one way of generating a logon script.
You can generate the script by going to /ACSGEN, or using the menu options
A-Administration
AC - SNA Access Services Administration
     G  - Generate a Logon Script

Select the session for which a script is to be created with 's' and go through the logon process as far as you want it to be automated. Use the online help (PF1) for more additional assistance.

More detailed information can be found in the SOLVE:Access Administering guide in the section on Generating Logon Scripts
