Getting error "your security settings have blocked a self signed application from running" while launching java VPM from MC

Issue/Introduction

Getting the following error while launching Java VPM from Management Center.

Environment

Management Center, Java Version 8

Cause

It is blocked by the security settings in the user machine's Java settings. By default the Java settings is set to high. While set at high the Java does a strict check of the applications identity. It requires the underlying application's ( in this case Management Center) identity to be verified by trusted authority. If the underlying application is not using a certificate signed by a trusted authority the Java security will block it. 

Resolution

The way around is to include the MC IP or URL to the exception list in the Java.
