Issue/Introduction

The Details flyout tab in MUX is not intuitive and hence requires additional analysis to understand the data

Environment

16.2.0, 16.2.1

Cause

  1. Log into a server with at least (1) Custom Master Object configured

  2. With the keyboard only, navigate to the Custom Object Icon in the main navigation, select ENTER to expose the Custom Object Tiles page

  3. Select the Tab key to establish focus on the Configure button

  4. Select the Tab key to establish focus on the first Custom Object Tile

  5. Select the Tab key to navigate horizontally to another Custom Object Tile

  6. Select the ENTER key to drill into the listing of Custom Objects instances for the custom object type

  7. Due to issue above, select the tab key to establish focus on the upper left arrow button navigation element

  8. Select the Tab key to activate the + button

  9. Select Tab again

  10. Due to another issue, select the tab key to establish focus on the first cell in the grid

  11. Use left/right arrow keys to establish focus on the last cell in the grid (lower right)

  12. Select the Tab key to exit the grid and establish focus on the pagination element

  13. Select the Tab key to establish focus on the column panel tab

  14. Select the Tab key to establish focus on the details panel tab

  15. Select the ENTER key to open the details panel tab with focus on the close button (as expected)..( Note this behavior changed to title when flyout is shown with details as per latest discussion and image reference provided below )

  16. Use the Tab key to navigate to the last field in the flyout

  17. Select the Tab key again

Expected: Visible focus to be established on the first focusable element ( Refer below image for order of focusable elements )

Actual: No visible focus. User must select the tab key which randomly navigates them thru the open fly-out fields again

Actual: No intuitive way to get to the horizontal/vertical fly-out positioning buttons.
