Issue/Introduction

Remove Job Logs and Report Library entries by Type Wipes the parameter in Scheduled job, this  can be reproduced when the scheduled job is processing and at the same time  Remove Job Logs and Report Library entries by Type runs deleting the instance of job which is currently processing

Steps to Reproduce: 

1. Schedule any clarity job (example: Datamart Extraction) to run every minute (Cron: * * * * *) 
2. Ensure the schedule job (example: Datamart Extraction) has parameters checked (EXTRACT ONLY OBS & EXTRACT ONLY CALENDARS
3. Schedule Remove Job Logs and Report Library entries by Type  to run every minute (Cron: * * * * *) with parameter 
   • Job/Report Type - Datamart Extraction 
   • Age to Delete - 0 

Expected Results: Once the Datamart Extraction schedules are run and then Remove Job Logs and Report Library entries by Type runs, the parameter of job Datamart Extraction should stay for the scheduled instance and job completed instance should be deleted 

 

Actual Results: Once the Datamart Extraction schedules are run and then Remove Job Logs and Report Library entries by Type runs, the parameter of job Datamart Extraction are wiped for the scheduled instance and job completed instance are deleted

Resolution

DE79705 is fixed in 16.2.2 (Targeted to be available May 2024) 

 

Workaround: Till the defect is not fixed 

• Ensure the Job Remove Job Logs and Report Library entries by Type is run when other jobs are not running or add this job as incompatible
