When not using DYNAM to allocate history files during the dump
process, you might receive an errant CAF2201E message.
The message indicates that the HISTORY1 DD is not present in the
JCL although it is present in the JCL.
This problem was introduced in PTF LU10179. This PTF is also
part of the 12.7.04 level set of SMF Director.
This problem affects only users that write SMF data to
SMF MAN files. Users writing SMF data to SMF log streams are
not affected.
The following messages appear in the audit report:
CAF2201E HISTORY1 DD STATEMENT REQUIRED FOR DUMP
CAF2216W DUMP PROCESSING ABORTED
The dump process job completes with a return code of 8.
As a result, SMF dumps do not complete and the SMF Data remains in the
SMF MAN files without being dumped.

LU12857 - CAF2201E MESSAGE FOR HISTORY1 DD WHEN PRESENT W/LU10179
If you have an SMF Director load library on the 12.7.03 level
set use that for dumping until until this maintenance is
applied.
If no older SMF Director load library is available, use the IBM
IFASMFDP utility to dump the SMF data from the SMF MAN files to
a separate data set. After you apply this maintenance,
the SMF data that is set aside can be written to the SMF
Director archive using the SOURCE dump feature.
