Triggers not working after upgrading

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to CA 2E 8.7.3, notice that triggers are not working the same way as before.

Has there been a change in how triggers work in CA 2E 8.7.3?

Resolution

The only difference between CA 2E 8.6 YTRIGGER and CA 2E 8.7 YTRIGGER is improved error handling and data queue changes.

You can use the old version of the 2E YTRIGGER program (CA 2E 8.6) on the latest CA 2E 8.7.3 generated objects without any issues.

The CA 2E 8.6 Trigger objects that you need to retain are:

YTRIGGER

YTRGSVRC

YTRIGGERQ
