URT Import fails with: ORA-39006: internal error

Issue/Introduction

The DLP Update Readiness Tool (URT) completes the export of the database schema but fails on the import with: ORA-39006: internal error

• You have reviewed and implemented all the steps in Preparing to Run the Update Readiness Tool
• You have already eliminated the causes in the KB:  URT database export succeeds but import fails on RHEL

Environment

16.x,  Oracle19c

Cause

This was not an issue with the URT tool and was investigated by Oracle and the DBA. 

The high-level findings are shared below as a courtesy. As a reminder, customers should seek assistance from Oracle directly for database troubleshooting on the Enterprise edition. 

 

Resolution

1. The DBA had to troubleshoot several underlying ORA errors and cleared multiple BIN% objects.
2. Additionally, the URT upgrade schema was mapped to the DEFAULT profile which had a User_session limit of 2. This was set to unlimited.
