New UI: Total Allocation (Per Period) changing in Project Staff

Issue/Introduction

The Total Allocation on Project Staff grid view is changing to different value than the input value (eg.  Total allocation is changed to 560 when passed as 400). This seems to happen only when using the 'Current Period' setting in the view options. If the End Period is set to February 2024, then the distribution is working as expected. 


Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Login to New UI
  2. Create a new resource having availability as 8 hours, Track Mode as PPM and Open for time entry checked.
  3. Navigate to any project in New UI and access Staff tab
  4. Add the resource created in step 2 as a member with 100% allocation
  5. Now configure the View Options as shown below Type: Periods, Start Period: 2024 -01, End Period: Current Period, Totals: Sum of Periods
  6. Configure the columns Per-Period Metrics (Totals) - Allocation , Per-Period Metrics (Periods) - Allocation from fly out
  7. Update the Totals Allocation as 400

Expected Results: 
The Allocations should be distributed evenly for the duration of the selected periods and the value of Totals Allocation remain intact.

Actual Results: 
The Totals Allocation is changed to different value and the allocations are not evenly distributed for the selected duration of periods.

Workaround:

Use the specific period (eg. 2024 Feb, 2024 March) instead of current period for the End Period in the View Options
