CA Privileged Access Manager (PAM)

Issue/Introduction

In some cases involving connections through VPN or VDI, the CA PAM client fails to upgrade.

When connecting and triggering an update, it seems to proceed just fine, but at around 90-95% the connection between the java client and the PAM appliance is terminated and upgrade fails. Behaviour is consistent.

If the same operation is done via direct connection to the network, this works

Environment

CA PAM multiple versions

Cause

One of the reasons for this may be that TCP optimization may be turned on on the site of the Content Development Network, CDN, (e.g. Akamai) which changes proxy ips during the lapse of the upgrade.

Resolution

A case should be opened with Support from the CDN so that the configuration for the site experiencing problems is reviewed and TCP Optimization is turned off
