Issue/Introduction

Can NetMaster see if an IP address is actually getting to the Mainframe.

Environment

Product: NetMaster

Resolution

Use NetMaster command /IPTRS and then select Remote Addresses. If the IP address appears in the list then there has been a connection.

Also can use NetMaster command tracing  /SMART to capture packets from a specific remote host.

Another way to 'catch' this would be via NetMaster command /ED  the ' TCPSTART    TCP Connection Started ' Event Detector.
