Chrome CAC is Not Connected

Issue/Introduction

You are noticing in the DLP Enforce Console Agent Listing Critical alerts for Chrome CAC is not Connected.  

This is related to Google Chrome Content Analysis Connector Agent SDK.  And, is new in DLP 16.0 RU1.

Cause

You will see this critical alert if the necessary configurations are not set,

Verify that the Chrome Browser Cloud Management policy was deployed successfully.  You can do this by looking at chrome://policy and search for 

*   OnBulkDataEntryEnterpriseConnector

*   OnfileAttachedEnterpriseConnector

*   OnPrintEnterpriseConnector

And,

Navigate to the Advanced Settings tab of the DLP agent configuration and se the value of the ContentAnalysisSDK.CHROME_MONITORING.in advanced agent setting to 1.

 

Resolution

If the chrome policies are not present listed above you can change ContentAnalysisSDK.CHROME_MONITORING.in advanced agent setting to 0 and this will resolve the critical alert.

However, This will turn off chrome monitoring unless the extension is enabled.
