Mac Print Events Do Not Capture the File Extensions Except for Word Files

Issue/Introduction

When testing the Mac agent, the print policy is not capturing the file extension except for Word (.docx) files.

Resolution

When you print a file the printer software will format the file for printing.
It then sends the formatted file to the spooler or to the print device if the driver does not use a spooler.
This is when our agent hooks into the printer software, intercepts the file, and scans it.
If the data triggers a policy then our agent will act on the file in accordance with the response rules.

If the printer software does not send the full file name including the extension to the spooler or print device then that extension is not available to our agent.
