Is Access Gateway Upgrade required with Siteminder 12.8.08 upgrade

Issue/Introduction

Upgrading to Siteminder latest release 12.8.08 SP8 from 12.8.05. As part of upgrade it's found that OIDC (Accss Gateway) required upgraded siteminder SP8 dependency jars to get it working. 

Is Access Gateway Upgrade required with Siteminder 12.8.08 upgrade?

Resolution

There are no prerequisites regarding either binaries or dependencies to upgrade to r12.8.8 from r12.8.5.  All files are contained within the installation.  i.e. Upgrading policy server doesn't require upgrading the access gateway.

However, if there is any custom auth schemes, active expressions, etc that have dependencies than those dependencies would need to be moved.
