PPM-018 error code received when trying to retrieve probe configuration in Admin Console (AC)

Issue/Introduction

When trying to open the probe configuration in AC, the following error message is received:

Unable to read configuration
Configuration was unable to be retrieved.
Message: Internal Server Error: Failed to handle response from requested operation probe_list against /domain/hub/robot/controller
Resolution: Please check the ppm.log file for additional details
Error Code: PPM-018

Checking the version of the probe in IM or AC, we see that that this information is not available (blank):

Further checking reveals that the <InstallFolder>/nimsoft/robot/pkg/inst/installed.pkg file is missing entries for these probes.

Environment

UIM 20.4+

Cause

Corruption in the robot installation has removed the required entries in the installed.pkg file while the controller.cfg file has retained the probe information and the probe folders/files remained.

Resolution

• Identify the probe(s) missing version information.
• Redeploy the probe(s) from the archive.
