Issue/Introduction

We have Silver peak layer three devices that are connecting to each other after running an AutoDiscovery on Spectrum OneClick. These devices are not connected to each other.

Environment

Version: Any
Component: AutoDiscovery

Cause

After enabling the AutoDiscovery in debug by doing the following:

- Log into OneClick as an ADMIN user

- Find and select the VNM model

- Click on the Information tab in the Component Detail panel

- Find and expand the AutoDiscovery Control -> Debug Options subview

- Set Debug AutoDiscovery to On

Upong review of the $SPECROOT/SS/ADiscDebug* file created, it was noticed when reading ip route tables of these devices, they both showed each other as a next hop router, so Spectrum will make this connection.

Resolution

If layer 3 connectivity is not required, configure the AutoDiscovery not to read ip route or address tables in the Modeling Configuration section of the discovery configuration.
