Issue/Introduction

Received an error while running reports "JOB_BY_APPLICATION".

Environment

Unix/Linux

Cause

Permission issue in reporting configuration files.

Resolution

Check and change the ownership of the org.eclipse.osgi subdirectory in the configuration directory recursively. For example;

cd <DE_install_dir>/reporting/birt-runtime/ReportEngine/configuration

chown -R <owner>:<group> org.eclipse.osgi

Alternatively, backup the configuration directory and delete org.eclipse.* subdirectories except config.
