Jaspersoft studio reports fail in version 8.1.1

Issue/Introduction

Jaspersoft Studio reports fail with the following error message in Jaspersoft 8.1.1. The following error message is obtained from the jasperserver.log.

2024-01-29T12:01:35,088 ERROR JSControlledJdbcQueryExecuter,
http-nio-8081-exec-6593:179 [] - exception occured while setting queries to reportContext
net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRRuntimeException: Parameter "REPORT_CONTEXT" does not exist.

Environment

• Jaspersoft Server 8.1.1.

Cause

Input Controls that have a query in them, that look into the cmn_config table.

Resolution

1. Rewrite the query behind the Input Controls
2. Republish the report

As the issue doesn't affect the report execution and bearing a low priority it will not be fixed in Jaspersoft 9.x  in context of integration of Clarity & JasperSoft.
