Alerts not sending Metric Name or Metric Value when the alert resides in a custom folder in APM.

Issue/Introduction

We have a calculator-based alert. When triggered the alert notifications do not contain the Metric Name or Metric Value fields. 
When moving the calculator alert to the root of the calculators folder, then the fields are present.
Please advise why alert in the sub folders do not contain the Metric Name or Metric Value fields?

Resolution: If setting the Combination to "any",  then the metric name and value are sent as part of the alert.

 

Additional Information

 

I created a new calculator and alert and ran some tests. It seems like whenever the Combination is set to "all" ,the metric name and value are not sent as part of the alert.

This is expected and working according to design.

When Alert Notification  is present and it has missing metric name and metric value, it has two causes:

* combination == ALL
* it is a summary alert

Nothing else impacts that, e.g. folder or metric from calculator.

Guessing that I will have to create a new calculator in the root folder in order to get it to work.

OR

When changing the calculator folder, you need to check and change also the metric group (to grab the metric from the new location).
