Issue/Introduction

The allocation values for Team investments are not correct after an Allocate From Estimates action if a Staff member has got calendar exceptions

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Admin > Project Management > Settings > Set Round Allocations to Nearest % to 0
  2. Go to Classic PPM > Admin > Resource Management > Resources
  3. Edit any 2 resources and go to their calendar tab
  4. Set the 1st of January as non-working day
  5.  Go to MUX > Teams > Create an Investment team
  6. Start and Finish Dates can be set to 01/01/2024 – 31/03/2024
  7. On the Staff tab, add only one of the above resources
  8. Ensure the Default Allocation % is 100% and set effort to Days
  9. Create a project that spans from the 01/01/2024 to the 31/03/2024
  10. Add to the Staff tab, the team investment and the second resource whose calendar we modified and is not part of the team
  11. Default allocation % for both Staff members set it to 0
  12. Go to Tasks and create one with the same project dates. Assign both Staff members. Add 10 days of ETC per period
  13. Go to the Staff tab and add Allocation per period metrics
  14. View options > Set the decimals display to 0.00
  15. Select both team members and Allocate from Estimates 
  16. Check the allocation values

Expected Results: The ETC hours are copied to the allocation of the team members
Actual Results: The team type resource allocation value for the month where there is a calendar exception is not correct

Cause

This is caused by DE79605

Resolution

The affected code area needs to be reworked and it can not be addressed as a defect fix.

Engineering has decided to close the defect and a user story has been filled to address the work needed to change the current design
