logmon probe stops processing

Issue/Introduction

The logmon probe suddenly stops monitoring and processing profiles.

You noticed that the log just stops logging without any error.  The probe is listed in probe_list, logmon process is running on the server. 

Cold Restart (if port and pid are dropped) fixes the issue. However, the issue might happen again.

Environment

UIM 20.4.x

logmon 4.x

UNIX/Linux different flavours

Cause

Bad Configuration parameter can cause the probe to stop working intermittently. 

Example: Check interval set to "30s Sec" causes possible corruption

interval = 30s sec

Resolution

Update any interval format that loos like: 

interval = 30s sec

 

the correct format should be: 

interval = 30 sec

or

interval = 1 min
