What jobs should be run in preparation for running TMSXTEND?
TMSRINIT should be run with a PARM of STATUS to verify that you can run it with no problems. To verify that you have identified all of the systems updating the TMC as recorded in your active Audit file, run TMSAUDEX. Include any systems that you find in an old Audit and not in the active Audit explicitly with an INCLUDE control statement. If the system is not a active and will not be at the time of the TMSXTEND, you can exclude it with an EXCLUDE statement. When the system becomes active and available it will pick up the new TMC. Run TMSBLDVR on one system to identify the volume ranges in an existing TMC, validate volume range or DSNB control statements, and determine the size requirement of the new TMC. Then just prior to running TMSXTEND run TMSCOPY to take a backup of the TMC and Audit files. TMSCOPY MUST be done within the 3 hours prior to running TMSXTEND.
