Issue/Introduction

A notification is created to send when the Report status on Status report is updated to Final.  It does not send a notification unless you manually change the report status from draft to Final

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. In MUX, go to Administration>>Notifications
  2. Click New Notification
    • Target Object = Status Report
    • Fill in Name, Subject>>click Next
    • Condition Type = Complex
    • Target Attribute = Report Status
      • If target attribute is Equal To 'Final' then Send notifications
  3. Click Next
  4. Select a resource from the Resource drop-down
  5. Click Save
  6. Go to the Projects grid
  7. Open a project
  8. Click Status
  9. Select Preview>>Publish

Expected results - Resource will receive a notification shown on the bell icon in the MUX

Actual Results - No notification is sent/received.

Additional Information

**Business rules do not get evaluated when the updates are happening either via Processes or via XOG. When you create a notification definition with a condition (on successful evaluation of which the outcome will come into act. In this case reportStatus = FINAL) it is indeed a business rule behind the scenes. With that said only the ODF API updates (that includes a rule-engine header) are the only way to trigger the business rule evaluation thus, on meeting the condition, users would get notifications.
