Issue/Introduction

How to troubleshoot content inspection for OCR including cloud data protected by CloudSOC\DLP?

Policy does not trigger for OCR content.

Resolution

  • Verify OCR is enabled in cmp.protect.broadcom.com

  • Verify a simple keyword policy triggers for a text file and that a PNG or JPG  of the text file triggers the policy.
  • For existing policies verify that the policy does not contain multiple matches or other attributes that may not trigger based on a snipit of data in the image.
  • Broadcom support can run the image through a standalone OCR and provide the output back to  rerun through the policy.
