Services do not start when installing with the initializeDatabaseOption

Issue/Introduction

While installing during a disaster recovery exercise or installing a secondary, high availability Enforce Server using initializeDatabaseOption, the services do not start

Environment

Applies to Environments where Oracle is on a separate server from Enforce only. 

Cause

When using the initializeDatabaseOption as false, the oracle parameters such as oracleHost, oraclePort are ignored, and instead the Jdbc.properties file is created with a default, pointing to 127.0.0.1, which won't match a 3-tier environment. 

 

Resolution

Manually replace or import the primary Enforce's Jdbc.properties, CryptoMasterKey.properties and EncryptedPropertiesFilesEncryptionKey.key files and attempt to start the services again.
