Linux binaries are linked against outdated libncurses

Issue/Introduction

Customer currently has Harvest 14.0.2 installed on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5

They have noticed that Harvest 14.0.2 is linked against libncurses5:

hcm@Q100SPUL4705:/usd/db16924a/soft/hcm/lib> ldd hci |grep ncurses
        libncurses.so.5 => /lib64/libncurses.so.5 (0x00007fef08a91000)

Their system administrators want to remove the outdated version 5 libs in favor of the current version 6 libs.

Client is planning on upgrading to Harvest 14.5.

Are the version 5 libs are also used in Harvest 14.5?

Resolution

Harvest 14.5 works with libncurses.so.6 and is supported/certified with SUSE 15 SP3

We need to create a soft link to libncurses.so.6

The default version available in SUSE 15 SP3 is libncurses.so.6

Notes:

1.  ZZZ represents the Harvest username

2.  XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX represents the IP address of the Harvest Broker machine
