CA Mobile Authenticator App version 2.12 for iOS has a different timeout value than CA Mobile Authenticator App for Android

Issue/Introduction

The iOS CA Mobile Authenticator App version 2.12 introduced a different timeout value than the timeout value that existed for the CA Mobile Authenticator App for Android. This was an unintended change. Though both the timeout values are significantly large so that responses from backend AA servers can be comfortably received by these  client side Apps, but timeout values for both App types (Android as well as iOS) should be the same so the existing solutions that worked will not be impacted due to the  introduced difference.

Cause

Request for Information (Why is the timeout value for iOS CA Authenticator App and Android CA Authenticator App different ?)

Resolution

The next release of iOS CA Mobile Authenticator App (Beta version's ETA is Middle of March and for Official version release to App store the ETA is End Of March, 2024). The official version  will bring the  iOS CA Mobile Authenticator App timeout to be same as that of Android CA Mobile Authenticator App. The timeout will then be 60 seconds for the iOS CA Mobile Authenticator App also as that is the timeout value for the Android CA Mobile Authenticator App. Kindly revisit this KB close to the ETA dates mentioned above as the projected dates are estimates only.
