Issue/Introduction

Agentless monitoring policies are no longer working after the upgrade from 8.5 to 8.7.1.

The RMS agent is installed and updated on the Notification server.  When I try to bring up a resource that has an agentless uptime policy (ping) applied to it in the real-time monitoring console,  the agentless metrics are not in the list even if the box checked to give me all metrics whether they have initialized or not.  The agentless alerts were working before the upgrade.

ITMS 8.7.1

Resolution

Manually install RMS on the SMP side:

Open a command line on the Notification Server as the Administrator. Go to the location where the Monitor Agent x64 installation package is available:

cd C:\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\NSCap\bin\Win64\x64\Monitor Solution Package

and manually install RMS via the command line:

msiexec /i Altiris_MonitorAgentPackage_x64.msi /qn RMS=1
