Rally: What do the colors on the Team Planning page mean?

Issue/Introduction

On the team planning page, what do the colors on the bar mean?  How are they determined?

Resolution

If you use colors to differentiate work items within your iterations, you can click on the colors on the bar to show how many items and total points are assigned to each color.

For example on the screenshot below, there are 2 stories for a total of 6 points that have the color blue.  This is useful for iterations with a large number of work items.

 

The colors are listed in this order:

Blue

Orange

Grey

Dark Blue

Purple

Green

Pink

Burnt Orange

Yellow
