snmpget probe 2.01 throws Unable to contact controller error(80040401) in IM GUI

Issue/Introduction

When trying to open the snmpget probe to configure it, it fails and throws an error.

Also, the robot controller log where snmpget is deployed, shows-> Error writing File validation information

Environment

• snmpget v2.01
• robot 9.39
• DX UIM 20.4
• RHEL 8 (CentOS 8)

Cause

• robot communication issue
• Controller: Failed to send set_hub to spooler (communication error)

Resolution

1. Try redeploying the robot_update package for the given version of the robot, in this case v9.39 that is already deployed
2. Stop the Robot by stopping the Nimsoft Robot Watcher Service or using the niminit command (UNIX/LINUX)
3. Then clear (delete all niscache files) in the niscache directory on the robot machine in the Nimsoft installation directory
4. Start the robot
5. Deactivate snmpget
6. Activate snmpget
