Issue/Introduction

We have a very dynamic environment.

While monitoring the DC health views in NetOps portal, we see a gradual increase in the VNA linked DC heap percent.

Environment

DX NetOps: All Supported Versions

Virtual Network Assurance: All Supported Versions

Cause

The DC will query the DA for metadata (IREP) about the devices it manages.

Each DC only requests a piece of the IREP that is needed.

The VNA inventory is gradually increasing in this environment.

As a result, the size of the IREP requested also increases.

This causes the memory (heap) in use to increase as well.

Resolution

This is functioning as designed (FAD) and the increase is well within the resource limits.
