MapUpdate showing inconsistent results after OS migration

Issue/Introduction

After performing an upgrade migration to move from CentOS 7 to Redhat 8.4 The MapUpdate tool shows inconsistent information across the MLS, DSS and their secondary servers

Environment

DxNetOps Spectrum any version and RHEL OS

Cause

DNS issue

Resolution

• Confirm the .locrc was pointing to the correct main location server.  
• Confirm all of the SS systems and all of the OC and SRM systems should be in the .hostrc files on all SS systems (primary and secondary)
  • If you update the .hostrc and must restart the Location Server
• Confirm /etc/host files are configured correctly with all the same systems in your .hostrc files

With everything configured correctly MapUpdate should show all the systems in the environment
