Plex installation hangs

Issue/Introduction

When install Plex it goes to almost the end and then it just hangs. No log anywhere and Task Manager shows the Setup.exe is not responding.

Environment

Plex 7.21 GA and higher

All certified Windows OS

Cause

The Windows service "Event Log Watch" does not start.

Resolution

--Abort the hung installation window by either killing setup.exe from Task Manager or closing the installation window.

--Open Windows services windows and start the service "Event Log Watch".

--Run installation Setup.exe
