Issue/Introduction

WI is generating error while user is trying to download a file:

"The current security policy prohibits the requested action. The size of the uncompressed archive file you are trying to download is too large: 1XXX MB This exceeds the administrator-specified limit of 1000 MB" 

 

Cause

By default the limit is 1000 MB.

Resolution

In the download profile > advanced settings, there is an additional configuration: archive.extraction.maxSizeMB which controls the maximum allowed size of an uncompressed archive.

To change the limit, navigate to the relevant download profile under WI Web GUI -> Profiles -> Download profiles and click Pencil Icon (In the example below default download profile is in use):

 

 

Then scroll to the bottom and click "Edit" button under advanced Settings:

 

Search for "archive.extraction.maxSizeMB" and modify according to the business needs:

 

 

Then click update and Push settings to take effect.
