Issue/Introduction

We have a device that is not snmp pollable but is able to send SNMPv3 traps to Spectrum. Is there a way for Spectrum to process these traps?

Environment

Component: Alarm and Events
Version: All

Resolution

The device can be modeled in the Spectrum database as a Pingable model.

Then, an SNMPv3 Profile will need to be created that contains the V3 credentials of the V3 trap so the trap can be decrypted and processed by Spectrum on the Pingable model.

Additional Information

Reference the "Add a Device Using Create Model by Model Type" section of the documentation for how to create a Pingable model.

Reference the "Configuring the SNMPv3 Profile" section of the documentation on how to create SNMPv3 Profiles.
