Issue/Introduction

Fortiswitches devices model type name = FortinetFortiSw showing wrong Memory utilisation and raising false alerts.

While troubleshooting it appears, NRM_MemoryUtilAttr is using fsSysMemUsage which is using "Used Memory" not Percentage value.

Environment

DX NetOps Spectrum all releases

Cause

NRM_MemoryUtilAttr is mapped to fsSysMemUsage. if we remove the mapping, spectrum will calculate/display memory utilization value.

Resolution

Remove the NRM_MemoryUtilAttr mapping to fsSysMemUsage, to resolve the issue.

You can do this for all models of this type by using the Model Type Editor (MTE). First, you shut down the SpectroSERVER, then from the Spectrum Control Panel, run MTE:

Then double-click on the Attribute to select it and this will bring up the editing dialog view:

Clear the default value field then click on OK and it will update it (to 0 value, i.e. not default setting)for all models of that model_type - FortinetFortSW.
