Removal of XCOM SSL related files from OMVS

Issue/Introduction

Can all the XCOM SSL related files with the exception of the configssl.cnf and/or SYSconfigssl.cnf be removed from OMVS?

Environment

XCOM r12.0 for z/OS

Resolution

We strongly advise that you don't remove any files from OMVS that are XCOM SSL related. This may and can cause problems when applying maintenance to XCOM. 

The configssl.cnf or SYSconfigSSL.cnf file can be copied to any directory on OMVS as long as the proper path to the file is specified for parameter XCOM_CONFIG_SSL= and the proper permissions are provided to access the file.

Please keep in mind that all OpenSSL related files will be removed from XCOM r12 when fix LU08237 and LU08236 are applied. 

The related files for IBM System SSL will be kept in OMVS for continuous use.
