Issue/Introduction

After connecting to a Live Shell session using the One Time Pin (OTP) from the SES console, when attempting to run a command that requires administrative privileges the following error appears:

Administrator privileges not found! Exiting!

Cause

The system account used when launching the Live Shell session via the OTP is a limited rights user. Actions that require administrator rights will not be allowed.

Resolution

Symantec Endpoint Detection and Response will be enhanced in a future version to run under an account with administrative privileges.
