Modern UI quick search results overwritten, searching by a single project id shows all results

Issue/Introduction

Steps to Reproduce: 

1. On a system with a larger data set (lots of projects), go to the project grid 
2. Clear the filter or change the filter options 
3. While the page is still loading, paste in a project id into the Quick Search at the top of the page 
4. The single project is returned 
5. Wait a few moments and the search from step #2 results overwrite the list 

Expected Results: Most recent search results remain. 

Actual Results: Search results are replaced with a previous search that was still running in the background. 

Workaround: Refresh the page, wait.  Enter the project ID into the quick search.

Resolution

Resolved in Release 16.2.3 through story work to implement a generic solution for all grids.
