apm_bridge 1.09 - CPU over utilization

Issue/Introduction

apm_bridge probe version 1.09 has been deployed on the primary hub for UIM-OI integration, but the probe overutilizes the CPU on the server until it gets to 100% and then crashes the server

Environment

• UIM apm_bridge 1.09 
• DX OI SaaS / DX OI onpremise 2x

 

Cause

•  The CPU over utilization problem is due to the Supportability Health Metrics thread consuming the memory.

Resolution

SOLUTION:

1. Download attached apm_bridge-1.0.9-testBuild_T3.zip 
2. Import the zip files in UIM Archive either using IM or Admin Console 
3. Deploy the probes to the robot where the apm_bridge probe is deployed.
4. Wait for the probe to start.
5. Verify the issue.

WORKAROUND:

Add the enable_health_monitoring configuration property under the setup section(As shown below). This will help to reduce the CPU Over Utilization by this thread for now.
