What kind of message will be printed in the Easytrieve for Windows license expiration message?
Release : ALL
Component : Easytrieve for Windows
If you have a valid license(olf file) that is about to expire, you will receive the following message.
CA Easytrieve <version splevel> License validation error 7305
Pre-expiration warning (10 days before the expiration)
If the license is going to expire in 10 or less days, the Easytrieve compiler will show this error message at compile time.
The compiler will still work, you should renew your license.
CA Easytrieve <version splevel> License validation error 7304
Grace period warning (up to 31 days after expiration)
If you keep using the expired license, Easytrieve will enter the grace period, which lasts for 31 days after the expiration. During that time frame, Easytrieve will show this error message at compile time.
The compiler will still work, you should renew your license.
CA Easytrieve <version splevel> License validation error 7317
License termination
If your license expired more then 31 days ago, Easytrieve will show this error message at compile time.
The compiler will still work, but it will report the following warning each time you execute the program, which was compiled without a valid license:
CA Easytrieve compiler was not licensed...running
Important: To get rid of the run time warning, you have to procure a valid compiler license and recompile the program (if you'll keep using the program compiled with the unlicensed compiler, the program will still show the warning, even if you install a valid compiler license).
