Oracle repository connection error during TDM Portal installation

Issue/Introduction

Created a GTREP repository database in Oracle 19c and trying to connect to it during TDM Portal installation 4.10.0.58 and getting the error " Connection Parameters are invalid" as in below screenshot.

Environment

Windows Server

TDM Portal 4.10.x

Cause

Special characters used in the password caused the issue.

Resolution

Escaped the each special character using "". For example:

Test*\12}3-  ---> Test"*""\"12"}"3"-"

 

Additional Information

To escape \ , $ , ' , and " , use a double quotation mark around the password or use the back slash (\) as the escape character.
