Issue/Introduction

What is the expected behavior when sharing Saved Views By Using URLs?

When you save a view, you can share the same by copying the link and sending it to someone else.
To do so, you can do the following:

  1. Go to a common grid
  2. On the views menu, create a view called "My current view"
  3. Go to Manage Views > Mine
  4. Under Actions > Click on "Copy Link" > You will see a "Link copied to clipboard" message
  5. Paste the link generated to a notepad
  6. Send the link to a different user

Resolution

What is the expected behavior when the users use the link shared?

  1. If the link was created while the view was shared and continues to be shared, the users it is shared with will be able to access the view.
  2. Clarity will load the default view for a specific workspace or module if the saved view is deleted after the URL is shared.
  3. Users will receive a runtime error message if the saved view is marked as private after the URL is shared.
  4. If the link is created while the view is private and shared with someone else, the user will get an error when loading the view: "You don't have access to view My current view"
