Custom Master Object Grandchild Virtual Attachment Attribute Does Not Display In Modern

Issue/Introduction

The third level, grandchild does not display as it does in the Classic

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Create a custom master object, e.g. B

2a. Create a subobject of B, e.g. b
2b. Create an attachment (single or multi) attribute on object (b)

3a. Create a subobject of b, e.g. bb
3b. Create a virtual attribute referencing the on the attachment attribute on object (b)

Administration > Studio > grandchild object (bb) > Attributes
Click New Virtual button

Select the wanted attachment attribute to make a reference.
Click Add

4. Add attachments on subobject (b). This can be from either the Classic or Modern.

5. Review the attachments on the grandchild object (bb) instance > Detail in Classic. 
6. Review the attachments on the grandchild object (bb) instance > Detail in Modern.

Expected: The attachments should display in Modern, as it does in Classic.
Actual: The attachments do not  display in Modern, as it does in Classic.
