Issue/Introduction

How can I change the CA APM Default credentials for CEM as I have only the credentials of the cemadmin user?

APM 10.7

Resolution

10.7 is now End Of Service as of 12/31/2023 (see link below). Therefore we cannot provide support to you on this version.

The CEM functionality has been deprecated in 10.7 SP3 HF61 and later, this includes APM 10.8. This is due to security issues that could not be resolved with the CEM code and would require a complete redesign.

The CEM functionality is not replaced in 10.8, though many customers have been able to use Browser Agent to replace many of CEM’s use cases for monitoring end-client browsers.

The official replacement for CEM functionality is the BPA (Business Payload Analyzer) capability in APM SaaS. This uses WebServer plugins instead of a network SPAN port and eliminates the security issues that could not be solved in CEM. BPA is not available in 10.8 and would only be available for this customer in SaaS.
