DBMDS connection with ESM MS fails executing the ESM Microservice HTTP POST-TOKEN request.

Issue/Introduction

Attempts to integrate Sysview for Db2 (IDB2) with DX SaaS via the DBMDS (Data Service) fails connecting to the ESM MS (Micro Service). 

Environment

Db2 Tools r20 MTC-DBM

Cause

The certificate being used had a mismatch between the ESM_HOST value's explicit IP address (as specified in the DBMDS/ESM configuration setup) and the value specified for the certificate's CN (common name).  The certificate being used had a host name, but no IP address to match the ESM_HOST value.

Resolution

Using a certificate whose CN (common name) matches the hostname (in this case the explicit IP address) or listed in the SAN (Subject Alternative Name) field 
of the certificate.
