Issue/Introduction

Some CA PAM appliances are licensed as Perpetual. This is a vague indication for what it implies in terms of support and timeframe.

Environment

CA Privileged Access Manager (PAM)

Resolution

If a CA PAM license is marked as Perpetual, this means you will be able to continue using the product for as long as you wish. There is no hidden expiration date and no time limit to you using the product in the future.

The license only controls product usage. It does not impact product support and access to product upgrades. Only an active maintenance contract provides access to new product releases, product upgrade and maintenance patches, and to PAM Support.
