ASM monitor getting "Cannot resolve hostname."

Issue/Introduction

ASM was sending Alerts with the error "Cannot resolve hostname." When reviewing the infrastructure we are not seeing any errors.

Please let us know why these events are happening.

 

Resolution

Customer apparently made a DNS change that took time to propagate. A day later the issues went away.

Additional Information

Use DNSChecker and other third-party tools to validate if this is an external issue.
