Use of NetSpy ABT2MODE dataset

Issue/Introduction

Some NetSpy PTFs (e.g. LU02311) update ABT2MODE library, but this dataset is not allocated/used by the NetSpy job/STC. Where is this dataset used?

Resolution

This is documented on "Appendix E: Data Set Descriptions" chapter (page 247) of the "CA NetSpy Network Performance Administration Guide" manual, where you can read:

ABT2MODE
Is the SMP DLIB that contains the CA NetSpy SNA Services modules. SMP
uses these modules to build the load modules in the runtime load library
(CBT2PLD).
Type: Distribution

So this dataset is a SMP/E only library, and it is used only when installing or applying maintenance to NetSpy 12.0. This library is not used directly by the NetSpy STC/job.
